Boruto punishment

Well turns out Boruto got suspended from school for 2 weeks even though episode 1 showed him going to school the following day at then end.

took the words right out of my mouth there. but there was a positive. apparently Boruto got in trouble at home for getting suspended on his first day in the form of a son chichi style cram study session by Hinata. So Boruto had to do book work non-stop and unlike with most people his mother is the one person he can't escape since she was watching every moment and making sure he was studying. I think they were going for that whole thing that Miya from Sekirei does where Hinata doesn't blow a gasket but simply smiles where Boruto can see a dark aura behind it that tells him he's in trouble is what the aim here is which I can agree with somewhat since a couple of my old fanfics used this type of concept too.

the rest of the episode talks how much ninja academy has changed where sometime between Kakashi and Naruto's ruling they made changes for the new generation where it's no longer about being a capable ninja. that is a requirement to graduate but you have to pass other curriculums too that go into things like math, spelling, history, careers etc etc. ninja academy has become elementary, middle, and high school all in one go for 12 year olds and how long they take to graduate is on them. in other words Kishimoto didn't want to spend 2 to 3 years talking about school days so he made up an excuse for them to be in school for about a year or so before graduating. hard to say how this plays with the whole Naruto gaiden thing where Sarada got something her mom didn't really get which was character development. so her attitude at the moment makes since it's before she bothered looking for her dad to meet him. the main concern is just how when you compare this and even ikemoto's manga you'll see that the new kids have a bit of a different personality such as with chapter 11 in people feeling a little concerned about Sarada in how aside from her looks it doesn't feel like the one they got accustomed to.

episode 1 was underwhelming and episode 2 more less has Boruto feeling like the Jaden yuki of his series where he's gonna have a somewhat fanbase but a lot of people who may more than likely poke his faults and such as the story progresses. from the school environment from Boruto winning by teaching a lesson in a roundabout way. in this case it's not so much being too much like Naruto this kind of fight and victory comes for any MC who tries to continue an already long running series which leaves  in a "I don't hate it but at the same time I don't like it" kind of vibe. basically whelm. the middle. neither good or bad. yeah so far 2 episodes and it's average at best. next week looks to be a metal lee episode where unlike boruto, shikadai, and inojin Metal actually has something of a different personality compared to his father which in this case is actually kind of a good thing. hopefully it works out well where if kishimoto and the SP staff are paying attention where while yes it's important to make sure the kids have certain traits from their parents it's also important to consider archetypes of characters where like in real life you may have similarities to your parents when comes to habits but personality wise you are an entirely different person compared to them.

if it wasn't for the fact they already hinted they are gonna do Ikemoto's crapshoot story back in episode 1 this would actually be fairly decent but knowing how the end has come is a let down.

I will post one more image on the episode to talk about something else but feel free to talk about episode 2 here and what you expect for episode 3 if you guys are still hanging in there. what were the good and bad points in your opinion for this episode? do you think it's a good or bad thing that Metal seems to have the opposite kind of persona his father and gai had where they yell in everyone's faces and get all weird and excited over the randomest things. Lee while he did struggle as a ninja it didn't change the fact he was already an excitable boy but still his struggle was real although that seemed to go out the window after shippuden where he was more made for comedy that anything else....hmm I can see that's gonna have to be another topic entirely in and of itself.
