Boruto thoughts

Well if you haven't seen it yet may as well see if it was good or as bad you think. The good news is they aren't using Ikemoto's art style as the basis for this season, the bad news is they're still using Ikemoto's story for this season. so yeah essentially speaking you still get the spoiler in where everything in the future is fucked. now as for the byakugan eye Boruto has whether it's cause of the fanbase showing concerns or the curse mark concept coming back, or cause lack of trying by a certain margin in the boruto movie, or maybe even cause they are taking advantage of Kishimoto's admitted "I forgot" to give the kids byakugan eyes excuse Boruto has his a byakugan eye in his right eye which somehow lets him see bad chakra things on people. yeah they are really trying too hard to make boruto appealing by giving him the one eye thing that really should have just been Kakashi's thing and try something else.

so yeah essentially everything as of now is gonna be one long ass flash back like in ikemoto's manga only longer due to them starting the academy where apparently the age requirement is a bit higher than in naruto's era but that may have been a mislead due to appearances. this episode was supposed to show off boruto in how he will be different from his dad but at the same time they more or less had him do what his dad always and that's change people he meets on a random basis. as for the tattoos on his arm it looks like that may actually be the curse mark that he got in the manga so this a kind of what if Sasuke's curse mark was his power through boruto if that's the case. even the titled episode was using boruto's name....just like his dad.

on a bit of good notes Hinata actually seems to have things more under control in the house than what the boruto movie would have you believe since she has a "scary angry" aura whenever Boruto causes trouble so on a positive she did get what her mother in law is normally known for which is good if you want a house of Uzumaki's to be under control. Himawari is only briefly shown and woke her brother up in telling him he was gonna be late. the other thing we get a clearer picture of is that Naruto whether cause he's busy or not has never really punished Boruto before so that may have played a part in his attitude.

so overall it was okay but not too great at the same time since you can kind of see certain points where they try a little too hard to sell boruto as the main character and try to use a bit of nostalgia where that just says to me that Boruto can't appeal or sell unless he rides on Naruto's credit to get himself sold out there. they probably should have waited till the end of their first arc to do that since that would have been for a bigger selling point. so the episode gets a 3 out 5 in my book since at best it was about average despite my personal gripes about it but nothing too great in the sense they mainly tried a little too hard to sell boruto.

what did you guys think of the episode?

man so basically we already know we're going for a dead end in which case is there a point to the journey? or should we expect time travel to fix the problem like most people are assuming?
