okay so 2 bits of news and before you ask I will post the deathbattle of Madara vs Aizen this weekend i am just choosing to do it at my job tonight since i have an all nighter and need something to do to stay awake.
now on to the news. first in Japan for over a year now there has been a petition where the men want the same equal pampered treatmen the women have been getting which has gotten over 2,000 signatures now. over 2,200 to be exact. now the reason this petition started to begin with is cause the men who want this to happen claim they are tired of getting harrassed or blamed or accused of stuff and want equal treatment as women get when they report a sexual harrment crime on them. now obviously because it's an internet petition it's getting joke comments so I'll let you guys figure out if the men in japan or any country is getting less prvileges than women.
now on the 2nd news item comes from Square enix where they announced they have no intention of making a Final Fantasy 15 sequel and are taking the persona 4 route on this one. they will only add dlc story add on content but no sequel primarily due to how long it took them to make this game will likely make the fan base lose interest. here's what was said:
“If you do that full sequel model of expanding on an IP or a series, it’s good in certain ways. The negative of that is there’s a very large open period where you’re not releasing anything. In that period, you get people to move away, and their attachment to the franchise dissipates a little bit.”
“What we’re trying to do with that is to depict that missing 10 years of history right at the end of the story. If we had tried to do that as a traditional, full-scale sequel, that would have been very difficult, but it works really well in [keeping] that continued relationship with fans.”
now people are hoping 15 doesn't become like Persona 4 with spin offs and dlc content but no sequel coming out.
some speculate cause despite the sales they've recieved and see there are people who enjoy this game for what it is they may have gotten too much harrassment from those who claim 15 "Killed" the franchise in a sense to them. I'll give my 2 cents on this. guys it's fine if you don't like a game or if you like a game but claiming that should only be said after you've taking at least 2 days to play said game and decide if you like it or not. or be like me and a lot of others and play through all of it and see all the ups and downs that happened. if you don't like it then that's fine but don't be in that group category of trolls that constantly harrasses a game company over something they literally spent years working on. this is the kind of thing you should not be doing. this is where opinions get taken too far by a minority who have nothing better to do than make repeated fake accounts just to make it seem like there are more people who hate something than there really are. Guys there's a reason why gaming companies work as they do. you have the business portion which is another beast entirely but the developers and staff and even voice actors they all put their time and effort into making something they felt was worth doing and yeah final fantasy 15 has it's negatives to be sure but it should not be something where square enix has to feel afraid to do what have an idea of what to do on. as for sequels to any media be it games, movies, or certain shows then for me it just depends on the story and on how it ends. if it's a open ending or the kind of ending where you and your party barely scratched the surface of what's to be a bigger mystery then yeah I'm all for a sequel or 2. but if it's like how final fantasy 15 ended and they closed out stuff concerning the main guy then no i don't think we need a sequel i mean i never really thought about extra story content on the other characters or even figured they'd do a collaboration project with assassins creed.
anyway those are my thoughts about that and I'll let you guys say your thoughts on the matters.

I enjoyed FF15 and i want to see new content in it
personal DLC is not a problem for me because when you get a game and you enjoyed it, you can't help but want to see more and with the FF15 there's some much they could add to it and make the game even better, now i'm not the first person to say this but i'm going to say it anyways was the ending to it rushed? yes it was, but that is because they had to release the game with in that year or Square Enix as well as Final fantasy would have died and with that in mind I dont have any problem with buying DLC for a game that i did in fact enjoy
If someone is complaing about the game I'd tell them to shut it, if you dont like the game then dont pay any attention to it, its that simply, now as for what's hurting the FF series overall? I dont see what's hurting it, the games are good as far as story and gameplay I love the Final fantasy games, hell i love the whole franchise and I will keep playing them no matter what they do
but I wont lie about the fact that I would like to see a new final fantasy game that has a female main character were your choices chance the endings to the game as well as who would be in your party and also who fall in with the main character but that's just me though
as for FF13 I DONT GET A DAMN WHAT ANYONE SAYS! I LOVED THE Final fantasy 13 games I freaking love Lightning! get over it haters! (Sorry can't help it) I liked those games because they were full of new gameplay styles as well as potential, its sad no so called good review could see that but in the end that falls under everyone's opinion but i dont like how people can just want to jump on some bandwagon and decide to dis the game without playing or trying to enjoy it, its just like every sonic game and just like Resident evil 6 I liked the game and its far better then RE7 (dont care what you say that is a fact) Sorry got off point but i can't help it when someone dis on a game that like

i do find it pretty sad to see people saying crap like "oh this is killing the franchise" really? how is that since a game like FF15 helped the franchise but what hurt square enix was them deciding not bring FF type-0 to west when they release it in japan and that is but one example of what was hurting them, as for the franchise i dont see a real problem with any of it, if their is any franchise that is hurting itself, that would be games like call of duty and grand theft auto but my thoughts on those are for another time
anyway that's all i'm going to say about this at least for now or an till something gets me enraged
